      <title>Mariah Carey plots 'Emancipation' tour</title>

      <description>More than a year after issuing her career-reviving album &quot;The Emancipation of Mimi,&quot; singer Mariah Carey has rolled out plans for an ambitious US arena tour. 
Carey is set to launch the run Aug. 5 in Miami, and has mapped a route that will take her to 30 cities by mid-October. Reggae/dancehall star Sean Paul will open on select dates. Details are included in the itinerary shown below. 
Ticket on-sale information for the general public wasn't available at press time, but members of Carey's official fan club will have access to tickets via presales that roll out this week. More information is... (more)</description>

      <description>With his first new album in six years now in stores, legendary singer/songwriter Paul Simon is ready to back the set with some high-profile television appearances and a round of summer tour dates. 
Simon has rolled out an itinerary that features stops in a dozen US cities and one Canadian performance, all of which are confined to the month of July. So far, all of the engagements are single shows, with the exception of Atlantic City, NJ, where a two-night stand is scheduled. Details are shown below.

      <description>Tom Petty &amp;amp; The Heartbreakers have rolled out another leg of their 2006 summer tour, as expected, with shows again featuring guest appearances by Trey Anastasio , as well as several dates with The Allman Brothers Band . 
The new leg picks up with a July 29 show in Portland, OR, and runs through mid-August. A third and final leg, consisting of shows in September and October, will be announced soon, according to the tour's organizers.
 
Petty and the Heartbreakers are set to play in Portsmouth, VA, as part of the tour's continuing first leg, with Anastasio as the current guest performer.... (more)</description>

      <description>As the clock ticks down to the late-June release of Dashboard Confessional's new album, &quot;Dusk and Summer,&quot; the group continues to plot its summer tour behind the set. 
Since last count, the Florida-based emo-quartet has tacked about 20 dates onto its itinerary, which kicks off in earnest at the end of June. Between now and then, the group will play several radio-station festivals. Details are included below.
