As the clock ticks down to the late-June release of Dashboard Confessional's new album, "Dusk and Summer," the group continues to plot its summer tour behind the set.
Since last count, the Florida-based emo-quartet has tacked about 20 dates onto its itinerary, which kicks off in earnest at the end of June. Between now and then, the group will play several radio-station festivals. Details are included below.
Three days before the tour's June 30 kick-off, Dashboard Confessional will drop "Dusk and Summer," its first new studio set since 2003's "A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar."
Led by singer/songwriter Christopher Carraba, Dahsboard Confessional wrote and recorded "Dusk and Summer" over a two-year period, with producer Don Gilmore (Pearl Jam, Linkin Park) at the helm. Gilmore had previously worked with the group on the song "Vindicated," which appeared on the "Spider-Man 2" soundtrack.
The band also enlisted famed U2 collaborator Daniel Lanois to help with production.
"Don't Wait," the first single from "Dusk and Summer," hit radio stations last month, and is streaming at the band's website.
